About This Workshop:
In this 6 hour online workshop we will rest in a core principle of Hakomi, Non-Violence. We will explore the application of non-violence in the therapist/client relationship.   For the client, therapy is often a dance between inner wisdom and fears of change. An attuned therapist waits for change, listening with deep acceptance for what arises from within a person. In Hakomi we think of this deep listening and waiting as non-violence.  In addition, we practice non-violence while facilitating the client in mindful self-study.  In this workshop, you will be introduced to a basic understanding of non-violent facilitation and mindful self-study. Through a combination of lecture, demos, experiential exercises, time for self-reflection and time for  integration, you will practice non-violence as a pathway to change.  The intent of this workshop is to be restful for the therapist and spend a day deepening your embodied understanding of non-violence. It is open to all those interested in the healing arts and sciences.
