Remembering the Heart of Therapy: An Introduction to the Hakomi Method

July 25, 2015 - July 26, 2015

$250
I remember our founder, Ron Kurtz, saying to me, “Hakomi is a harbor for therapists lost.”
True enough, many therapists experience burn out after a certain number of years in practice. Often by remembering and re-embodying the ideals and spirituality which originally drew us to the healing arts, we can revitalize ourselves and our practices.
Often connecting with and, what I have come to think of as ‘marinating in’, the Hakomi Principles of Loving Presence, Mindfulness, Non-violence, and Organicity (inner wisdom) can inspire therapists to re-ignite new depth and purpose to their work.
This two day workshop offers a way for you to deeply connect with your original values and inspirations which led you into the helping professions.
This weekend also presents hands-on tools not only for fostering Mindfulness, but also for it’s application. Application in Mindfulness techniques utilize the clients’ relaxed yet alert states of mind to resource through sensation and to build emotional capacity, balancing containment with expression.
Please join us in July.
Schedule: Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m, and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $250 if registered by June 30, $275 thereafter
CE’s: 12 contact hours for NASW and NBCC (may be applied for license requirements for MFT’s, LCSW’s, LPC’s, and LMHC’s in certain states)
